Coventry Central Hall
Coventry Central Hall is a historic landmark situated in the very heart of Coventry, originally built in 1932 as a vibrant community and cultural space. Today, it continues to serve as a welcoming hub for performances, gatherings, and artistic events, combining heritage with a strong contemporary spirit.
The venue’s red-brick architecture and distinctive façade reflect its early-20th-century character, while the spacious Great Hall offers an inviting atmosphere that brings audiences and performers together. Balcony seating, flexible staging, and warm acoustics make the space especially suitable for concerts, immersive productions, and large-scale cultural experiences.
With a capacity of up to around 800 guests, Coventry Central Hall provides an impressive yet intimate setting where music, community, and shared experience converge. Its central location and long-standing cultural role make it one of the city’s most recognisable venues — a place where tradition and modern creativity meet in the heart of Coventry.
Coventry Central Hall's ground-floor spaces and cafe have step-free access, and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor near the main entrance. The Great Hall has a hearing-aid induction loop but is currently reached only by stairs while the lift is being replaced (work due for completion by the end of 2025). As the venue is improving access to its historic building, please contact Coventry Central Hall or RED EVENTS before booking to discuss wheelchair spaces or any assistance you need.
