West Road Concert Hall
Designed by Sir Leslie Martin, West Road Concert Hall opened in 1978 and is widely regarded as one of Cambridge’s premier music venues. Situated only a few minutes’ walk away from the famous Cambridge Backs and King’s College, it is renowned for its superb acoustic qualities.
The main entrance is step-free with a push button for automatic opening, and there is level access across the ground floor and to Row D, which is most suitable for those with reduced mobility. Three wheelchair spaces are available in the Concert Hall (D19-21), and adapted toilets are in the foyer, around 18 metres from the seating. An induction loop covers rows D to T (set hearing aids to the 'T' position), accessible parking bays are available on the Sidgwick Site in the evenings and at weekends, and assistance dogs are welcome. To request a wheelchair space, please contact the box office in advance.
