Over locatie

The Holywell Music Room is a historic gem nestled within the heart of Oxford, England. As Europe’s oldest purpose-built concert hall, its walls resonate with centuries of musical tradition and cultural significance. Dating back to 1748, this iconic venue has witnessed the performances of renowned composers, virtuosos, and ensembles, making it a cherished destination for music enthusiasts worldwide.

Toegankelijkheid

There is ramped, level access from the entrance through to the auditorium (the entrance path is loose gravel, so take care), with space for four wheelchairs at ground-floor level alongside several ground-floor seats. An induction loop is fitted in the auditorium and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. The building has no lift, and due to its age some areas and the lower-level toilets involve steps. There is no on-site parking, but Blue Badge parking is available on Broad Street, roughly 180 metres away. To discuss specific needs in advance, contact 01865 277558 or [email protected].
