RED EVENTS ARRIVES IN ITALY: A FIRST CONCERT IN FLORENCE

This April, we open a new chapter for Red Events with our first concert in Italy — and we could not imagine a more fitting beginning than Florence.

On 18 April, we bring Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons to the restored spaces of Museo de’ Medici, where music will enter into dialogue with a place that has only just reopened to the public after years of silence. For us, that matters as much as the programme itself. Some concerts ask for a venue; others ask for a setting with memory, proportion, and air. This is one of them.

Richter’s reimagining of Vivaldi has always lived in that rare space between recognition and surprise. It keeps the outline of a work the world knows by heart, yet lets it breathe differently — with repetition, tension, and a kind of lucid modern pulse. In Florence, inside a historic Medici space returning to light, that conversation feels especially natural: Italian musical heritage heard anew on Italian soil.

With this concert, we begin our Italian journey not with noise, but with resonance — through a programme that understands both structure and atmosphere, and in a city where history never quite stops speaking.
