On 10 May, we presented two successful concerts in one evening at Dublin’s O’Reilly Theatre, introducing our premiere programme Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons.
The evening was built around a rare musical conversation: Antonio Vivaldi’s famous cycle seen through the imagination of Max Richter. This is not a simple arrangement, but a bold act of listening again. Familiar fragments appear, disappear, return in new shapes — as if the old score were breathing in a different century.
The concerts also included On the Nature of Daylight, one of Richter’s most emotionally direct works. Its calm, almost weightless intensity created a quiet threshold before the audience entered the transformed world of The Four Seasons.
Holding two concerts in one evening made the Dublin premiere especially memorable for us. The O’Reilly Theatre gave the programme both intimacy and focus, allowing every repeated motif, every string line and every silence to feel precise.
