On 7 May, we held our first concert at the iconic Hackney Empire, bringing one of our most beloved programmes to one of London’s most characterful stages.
The Music of The Lord of the Rings. Tribute to Howard Shore turned the evening into a journey through Tolkien’s world — not as a simple soundtrack concert, but as a passage into a place where music carries memory, myth and shadow.
Live vocals added an especially atmospheric dimension to the evening. Inspired by Elvish songs, ancient folklore and the poetic spirit of Middle-earth, the voices seemed to rise from another age — fragile, distant and full of hidden light.
For us, this first concert at Hackney Empire became a powerful meeting between venue and story. The theatre’s historic presence gave the music a sense of ceremony, while Howard Shore’s score filled the space with the feeling of a world much larger than the stage.
