In September 2026, Red Events presents HYPNOTIC — An Immersive Opera Experience by Kseniia Nikolaieva, a new European tour across Austria, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands.
HYPNOTIC is not a traditional recital. It is a concert-trance: an evening where voice, piano, silence and space merge into one slow, magnetic flow. Darkness becomes soft. Time stretches. The audience is invited not simply to listen, but to enter a state of heightened attention, where every breath, phrase and resonance feels almost physical.
Created as a continuous emotional journey, the programme moves through the dreamlike colours of Debussy, the dark romanticism of Wagner, the introspective lyricism of Brahms and the haunting emotional landscapes of Britten, alongside works by Duparc, Massenet, Berlioz and Gurney. Each performance will be subtly adapted to the acoustic and atmosphere of its venue.
At the centre of the tour is internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Kseniia Nikolaieva, former member of the Jette Parker Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, London. Praised by Montserrat Caballé and described by Classical Explorer as “a force of nature”, she brings to HYPNOTIC a voice of rare intensity, depth and emotional command.
She is joined by French pianist Florent Mourier, a London-based artist known for his work in vocal and chamber repertoire, with performances at Wigmore Hall, Barbican Hall, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, La Monnaie and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
HYPNOTIC invites audiences into the space between dreams and reality — where opera becomes atmosphere, and listening becomes a trance.
