We presented our first concert at St Peter’s Church in Zurich — one of the city’s most remarkable historic venues, known for its striking Baroque interior and iconic tower clock.
With Hayao Miyazaki’s Dreams by Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern, one of our most beloved programmes returned to Zurich and found a new, almost weightless shape in this extraordinary space. The music of Joe Hisaishi, inseparable from the films of Hayao Miyazaki, unfolded inside Zurich’s oldest parish church with a special sense of warmth, stillness and light.
This first evening at St Peter’s Church became a special Zurich moment. Miyazaki’s dreamlike universe needed no screen here — it appeared through sound, silence and the shared attention of the audience.
