A proposito della sede

The Music Room at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton is a dazzling example of Regency-era opulence. This lavishly decorated chamber boasts exquisite chinoiserie designs, gilded moldings, and stunning hand-painted Chinese wallpaper. The room served as a grand setting for musical gatherings, soirées, and entertainment during the early 19th century. Its ornate architecture and Oriental-inspired aesthetics make it a must-visit attraction for those exploring the historic Royal Pavilion. The Royal Pavilion was constructed as the seaside pleasure palace of King George IV, and the Music Room stands as a testament to the extravagant tastes of the era's royalty.

Accessibilità

The Royal Pavilion's main entrance and ticket area are on the ground floor with step-free, level access throughout the ground floor, where the Music Room is located. Please note the building is historic with no lift, and the Music Room doorway is narrow (88cm) with a tight turn, so some larger or powered wheelchairs may not fit; manual wheelchairs and walkers can be borrowed from reception. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor near the ticket desk, a hearing loop at the counter, and assistance dogs are welcome. To arrange help in advance, call 03000 290900 or email info@rpmt.org.uk.
