First released in 2001, this Studio Ghibli classic follows the story of Chihiro, a young girl who finds herself in a mysterious spirit world, encountering unforgettable characters and learning courage, resilience, and compassion along the way.
Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern will present Joe Hisaishi’s iconic score live, music that has become inseparable from the film’s magic. From the gentle wonder of One Summer’s Day to the wistful beauty of Reprise, each piece captures Miyazaki’s gift for blending the fantastical with the deeply human.

The concert is organised by the creative agency RED EVENTS & Distribution Ltd., known for producing exceptional cultural experiences in historic mansions, on rooftops, in greenhouses, and in some of the most atmospheric venues across Europe, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and beyond. Their repertoire also includes a distinctive collection of candlelit concerts and fully immersive performances combining video art and sound.
