James Horner

James Horner (1953–2015) was among the most successful film composers of all time, winning two Academy Awards for Titanic — including the song "My Heart Will Go On". His scores for Braveheart, Apollo 13, Aliens, Legends of the Fall and Avatar are defined by sweeping, emotional melody and a gift for wonder and flight. His sudden death in 2015 cut short a remarkable career. Performed live, Horner's themes lose none of their grandeur or feeling.
