MIDDLE-EARTH ARRIVES IN TWO NEW CITIES: RED EVENTS DEBUTS IN LUTON AND STOKE

We have expanded our UK route with first concerts in Luton and Stoke, bringing “The Music of The Lord of The Rings. Tribute to Howard Shore” to two new cities for the first time.

Some programmes seem made for a debut of this kind. For us, Howard Shore’s score carries a rare sense of scale — at once intimate and monumental, moving from the quiet light of the Shire to the darker, weightier pulse of the journey beyond. In both Luton and Stoke, that musical world found new rooms, new acoustics, and new listeners.

Performed live, the programme unfolded less like a sequence of separate pieces than as a continuous passage through Tolkien’s universe: lyrical, shadowed, and unmistakably cinematic. What changes from city to city is not the power of the music, but the way a place receives it — the texture of the evening, the atmosphere in the room, the distinct character of a first encounter.

With these two premieres, Red Events continues to widen its geography with care — not simply adding destinations, but opening new settings for concerts shaped by mood, resonance, and presence. We are grateful to Luton and Stoke for the warm welcome, and pleased to see both cities become part of our growing map.
