Dundee Parish Church (St Mary's), Dundee
Dundee Parish Church (St Mary's) has stood at the heart of the city for more than five centuries, its landmark Old Steeple — the tallest surviving medieval tower in Scotland — rising above the Nethergate since the 15th century. The Mother Church of Dundee, it has witnessed the city's whole story, surviving sieges and fires to remain its most enduring sacred landmark.
Inside, the church unfolds in warm Victorian-Gothic splendour: vaulted timber ceilings, richly coloured stained glass and a fine acoustic that carries every note with clarity. Its generous nave and galleries make it a naturally atmospheric setting for candlelit performance — music blooms under the arches in the very heart of Dundee.
