On 18 July, we presented the Dublin premiere of The World of John Williams by Mystery Ensemble at the O’Reilly Theatre.
The programme brought together music from some of cinema’s most recognisable stories, including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Home Alone, Memoirs of a Geisha, A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Superman. Heard live and without the screen, these familiar themes revealed the craftsmanship behind their cinematic impact — from suspense and adventure to tenderness, humour and wonder..
