Join us at the National Centre for Early Music in York for one of our most beloved programmes.
The programme of the evening includes the music of the world-famous Italian neoclassical composer Ludovico Einaudi performed by the extraordinary Mystery Ensemble in an intimate & relaxing atmosphere.
Ludovico Einaudi presented the final part of the seven-volume musical project «Seven Days Walking» in the fall of 2019. Delightfully beautiful sketches of nature, moods and weather were made by him while walking through the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland. The music of the genius composer is wonderfully revealed by light projections on the vaults in the church.
Ludovico Einaudi is without a doubt one of the most prominent representatives of neoclassicism. But success and recognition were not easy for him. From childhood, the weight of the achievements of his family members dominated the Italian. Ludovico’s mother played the piano. Maternal grandfather was a composer and conductor of Italian operas. Father is a famous book publisher. Paternal grandfather — Luigi Einaudi — the first president of post-war Italy.
