Beyond the stars, across the vast silence of space, one force endures — love. On September 20th, at the Concertstudio in the heart of Kortrijk, La Chapelle Sauvage ensemble brings to life the extraordinary music of Interstellar, alongside other iconic works by Hans Zimmer and Ludovico Einaudi.

Christopher Nolan's modern classic is a story of humanity reaching into the unknown — of time bent by black holes, of a father and daughter separated by galaxies, of hope held together by a single, unshakeable bond. And at its heart beats one of the most extraordinary film scores ever written.

Composed by Hans Zimmer — an Academy Award winner, three-time Golden Globe and five-time Grammy winner — the Interstellar score earned an Academy Award nomination and became a phenomenon far beyond the cinema. Famously built around the towering sound of a pipe organ, recorded in a London church, it fuses the spiritual and the cosmic into music of overwhelming power. In this concert, Zimmer's compositions are reimagined for a rare ensemble of acoustic instruments — intimate one moment, vast and enveloping the next.

More than a concert, it is an immersive journey: rolling waves of sound, shimmering textures and vast resonant sonorities, carrying the audience from quiet wonder to the pull of a black hole. The magic of the evening is born from the dialogue between the musicians, the architecture around them, light and sound itself.
