A Day for Wonder: Celebrating International Children’s Day with Red Events

On International Children’s Day, we celebrate the curiosity, imagination and bright energy that children bring into the world.

For Red Events, this day is closely connected with music — especially with programmes that open the door to stories loved by families across generations. Hayao Miyazaki’s Dreams invites audiences into a world of brave heroines, forest spirits and flying castles. The World of John Williams brings back the magic of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Home Alone and Jurassic Park. The Music of The Lord of the Rings turns a concert hall into a road through Middle-earth.

These evenings remind us that music can speak to children and adults at the same time. It can make a familiar story feel new, turn a melody into an adventure, and create a shared memory for the whole family.

Happy International Children’s Day — may there always be room for wonder, stories and music that brings generations together.
