Gleb Zakharov
Gleb Zakharov ist ein in London lebender Countertenor im Abschlussjahr seines Studiums am Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, wo er bei Patricia Rozario studiert. Zuvor erwarb er einen Abschluss in Kunstgeschichte an der Lomonossow-Universität in Moskau und verband seine akademische Ausbildung mit einer aktiven Konzerttätigkeit.
Seine künstlerische Entwicklung wurde durch ein Studium bei Professor Faltin an der Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin und durch individuelles Coaching bei renommierten Lehrkräften wie Robert Alderson, Ashley Stafford und Marcus van der Akker geprägt. Er nahm zudem an Meisterkursen mit der gefeierten Sopranistin Ailish Tynan teil.
Gleb trat bereits in Opernszenen aus Eugen Onegin, Schneeflöckchen und Hoffmanns Erzählungen auf. Besonders hervorzuheben ist seine Rolle als Oberon in Szenen aus Brittens Ein Sommernachtstraum. 2022 sang er in der Sommeroper Strozzi! des Trinity Laban. Er war auch Mitglied des Chors in Errollyn Wallens Oper Dido’s Ghost und wird im Sommer 2025 die Rolle des Pisandro in Monteverdis Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria übernehmen.
In London trat er u. a. in der Kensington United Reformed Church auf und wirkte bei Benefizkonzerten für die Ukraine sowie für Greenpeace mit. 2022–2023 war er Stipendiat des Chors der Old Royal Naval College Chapel. Darüber hinaus ist Gleb als Influencer im Bereich Klassische Musik erfolgreich: Sein Instagram-Blog @gleb.countertenor hat über 30.000 Follower und steht für einen modernen, zugänglichen Zugang zur Oper. Dies führte zu Kooperationen mit Labels wie Decca Classics, Marquee TV und international bekannten Künstler:innen wie Anita Rachvelishvili.

Gleb Zakharov is a London-based countertenor and first-class graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied with Patricia Rozario. His recent and upcoming operatic roles include Pisandro in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria and the title role in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto, which he will perform in his international debut in Trieste in 2026.
Gleb has refined his artistry through studies with Professor Faltin at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule in Berlin and masterclasses with Ailish Tynan. He has appeared in productions such as Strozzi! and Errollyn Wallen’s Dido’s Ghost, and performs a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to contemporary music. His concert work has taken him across Europe, including performances in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
With his warm, dark timbre and instinctive sensitivity to sacred repertoire, Gleb brings profound emotional depth to Stabat Mater, staying true to Pergolesi’s original intention to express raw human suffering, tenderness, and devotion through music.
Beyond the stage, Gleb maintains a strong digital presence with over 40,000 followers on Instagram, where he collaborates with major institutions such as Decca Classics and shares creative, educational content that brings classical music to new audiences.
