Gleb Zakharov

Der in London lebende Countertenor Gleb Zakharov ist Absolvent des Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (first-class honours, Studium bei Patricia Rozario OBE).

Zu seinen aktuellen und kommenden Opernrollen zählen Pisandro in Monteverdis Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria sowie die Titelrolle in Händels Giulio Cesare in Egitto, die er 2026 in seinem internationalen Debüt in Triest singen wird.

Er studierte zudem bei Professor Faltin an der Hanns Eisler Hochschule (Berlin) und besuchte Meisterkurse bei Ailish Tynan. Er war an Produktionen wie Strozzi! und Errollyn Wallens Dido’s Ghost beteiligt und singt ein breites Repertoire von Barock bis zeitgenössisch.

Gleb tritt regelmäßig in der Schweiz, den Niederlanden, Belgien und Großbritannien auf. Mit seinem warmen, dunklen Timbre und seiner besonderen Sensibilität für geistliches Repertoire verleiht er Pergolesis Stabat Mater große emotionale Tiefe – stets im Einklang mit der ursprünglichen Intention des Komponisten.

Neben seiner Bühnenarbeit pflegt er eine starke digitale Präsenz mit über 40’000 Followern auf Instagram, arbeitet mit Institutionen wie Decca Classics zusammen und bringt klassische Musik einem neuen, jungen Publikum näher.

Gleb Zakharov is a London-based countertenor and first-class graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied with Patricia Rozario. His recent and upcoming operatic roles include Pisandro in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria and the title role in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto, which he will perform in his international debut in Trieste in 2026.

Gleb has refined his artistry through studies with Professor Faltin at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule in Berlin and masterclasses with Ailish Tynan.
