For the first time, Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern brings its acclaimed programme to the Aula FXB, Pôle Musique in Sion, an intimate and welcoming venue offering a close and immersive concert experience.
“The Dreams of Hayao Miyazaki” invites you on a musical journey into the enchanting world of the world-renowned Japanese director and Academy Award winner Hayao Miyazaki. For this concert, Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern has selected the most magical melodies from his anime films, along with works inspired by his artistic vision.
The programme features iconic compositions by the brilliant Joe Hisaishi, including music from My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Laputa: Castle in the Sky. The evening is further enriched by selected works from other composers who have drawn inspiration from Miyazaki’s fantastical visual storytelling.
These musical themes transport the audience into the spellbinding atmosphere of beloved anime tales – filled with courageous heroines, mysterious spirits, and characters deeply rooted in Japanese folklore.
The concert is organised by the creative agency RED EVENTS & Distribution Ltd., known for producing exceptional cultural experiences in historic mansions, on rooftops, in greenhouses, and in some of the most atmospheric venues across Europe, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and beyond. Their repertoire also includes a distinctive collection of candlelit concerts and fully immersive performances combining video art and sound.
