Experience the majestic and timeless music of the legendary Lord of the Rings films in a unique concert performance that leads audiences into the heart of Tolkien’s universe. The programme is presented at NODA BCVS in Sion, a striking new cultural venue recognised for its contemporary architecture, excellent acoustics and refined atmosphere.

This vibrant musical journey unfolds through the mesmerising melodies of the world-famous Canadian composer Howard Shore, who received three Academy Awards, two Golden Globes and three Grammy Awards for his music for the trilogy. His iconic soundtrack has captivated millions worldwide, and now, we bring it to life in a spellbinding performance that includes vocal music inspired by Elvish songs, ancient folklore, and the poetic spirit of Middle-earth.

Performed by Horizons Ensemble, this immersive evening will guide you through a sonic journey where elves sing, hobbits dance, and the shadows of Mordor loom in the distance. Alongside the orchestra, live vocals by Sarah Pagin will embody the voices of Tolkien’s world — from ethereal Elvish laments to the haunting chants of ancient realms, bringing a deeply emotional and otherworldly dimension to the music of The Lord of the Rings.

The concert is organised by the creative agency RED EVENTS & Distribution Ltd., known for producing exceptional cultural experiences in historic mansions, on rooftops, in greenhouses, and in some of the most atmospheric venues across Europe, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and beyond. Their repertoire also includes a distinctive collection of candlelit concerts and fully immersive performances combining video art and sound.

Sarah Pagin ist eine franco-schweizerische Sopranistin, die einen modernen und eklektischen Zugang zur klassischen Musik verkörpert. Mit ihrer offenen Ausstrahlung, Vielseitigkeit und grossen Bühnenpräsenz etabliert sie sich als umfassende Künstlerin, getragen von einer ausgeprägten musikalischen Neugier, die sie zu einem breit gefächerten Repertoire führt — von Klassik bis Jazz, von Operette bis Musiktheater sowie zu zeitgenössischen Kollaborationen.

Ihre Karriere führte sie auf Bühnen in aller Welt, von Montréal bis Florenz, von Kopenhagen bis Ankara, in Produktionen mit unterschiedlichsten Programmen. Geleitet von ihrer Leidenschaft für die Bühne und den theatralischen Ausdruck, arbeitete sie mit renommierten Dirigenten wie Enrique Mazzola, Yoel Levi, Eliahou Inbal und Titus Engel zusammen. Zudem konzertiert sie mit namhaften Pianisten, darunter Cédric Pescia, François-Xavier Poizat sowie ihr Bruder Aimo Pagin.

Sarah Pagin hegt eine besondere Affinität zum Repertoire des 20. Jahrhunderts, sowohl im klassischen als auch im modernen Bereich, das sie in mit Eleganz und Feingefühl gestalteten Recitalprogrammen zur Geltung bringt.

Darüber hinaus arbeitet sie gerne mit Künstlerinnen und Künstlern aus anderen kreativen Bereichen zusammen, um das Ausdrucksspektrum ihrer Stimme zu erweitern — sei es in Projekten mit DJs oder in Aufführungen, die Pop, Rap und klassische Musik verbinden, etwa im Rahmen internationaler Festivals wie der Ruhrtriennale in Deutschland.

Horizons Ensemble

Horizons Ensemble ist ein vielseitiges und zukunftsorientiertes Ensemble, das Musik in all ihren Formen lebendig werden lässt – von Klassik und Barock bis hin zu Film-, Anime- und Videospielmusik. Ausgehend von der Idee, dass orchestrale Musik sowohl emotional zugänglich als auch kulturell relevant sein sollte, präsentiert das Ensemble bekannte Werke in neuen Arrangements, mit immersiver Gestaltung und höchster musikalischer Präzision.

Mit Sitz in der Suisse Romande arbeitet Horizons mit einem weitreichenden Netzwerk junger professioneller Musikerinnen und Musiker zusammen und bildet je nach Programm flexible Formationen: von kammermusikalischen Besetzungen über größere Orchesterkonstellationen bis hin zu hybriden Projekten, die akustische und zeitgenössische Klangwelten verbinden.
